Ford truck enthusiasts forums - Side Window CRACK. This is a couple things/questions. Did they change the side windows on vehicles to laminate glass and remove safety glass? The reason I ask, and this is main reason for this post, I went to get in my truck today and noticed an about 8” crack in my passenger front window. I can feel the crack from the outside.

If you want to modify anything, you will need a Windows laptop. You also need a ELM327 adapter that plugs into the OBDII connector on you vehicle and then connects to a USB port on your laptop. If I had the XL screen I would try to find an oem 8.X” screen or take a gamble with one of those 12” aftermarket screens. There’s probably a few quirks with going aftermarket though and I’d want to research the options heavily.
